Environmental Geochemistry at GEM-RG works with (1) geochemical mapping, (2) toxic element contamination, (3) mining environment, (4) toxicity and (5) catchment, floodplain, urban areas.

01_01_GEOCHEMISTRY_moving_windowEnvironmental Geochemistry at GEM-RG works in the terrestrial supergene zone from the upper groundwater saturation zone to the top of vegetation canopy and studies the liberation, transport and deposition of chemical elements and compounds. Geochemical spatial and temporal reaction and transport processes are MODELLED and carried out in a DECISION SUPPORT environment (contamination risk assessment)
